Torx software release enhances CRO management capabilities

Cambridge, UK – May 15, 2023 – Torx® Software Limited, provider of Torx for management of small molecule discovery chemistry, announces the roll-out of its spring release to all customers, further enhancing the CRO management capabilities.

The modular, cloud-native Torx platform enables chemistry teams to collaborate and share molecules, both internally and with contract research organizations (CROs) around the world.

“We know that managing CROs can be a major challenge for both biotechnology and large pharmaceutical companies,” said Dr. Tim Cheeseright, CEO, Torx Software. “That’s why we’ve made it our top priority to make Torx the most user-friendly and efficient way to manage projects with CROs.”

The spring update to Torx includes several enhancements which make CRO collaboration, communication and management even easier:

  • New quick filters provide one-click access to key information such as high-priority compounds, or compounds assigned to specific CROs.
  • New flexible display options give a more adaptive Kanban view of compound synthesis progress.
  • New ‘Time in status’ filter enables you to gain insight into how compounds are progressing in their workflow, identifying those progressing quickly as well as those which are blocked.

“Identifying compounds which have stalled during synthesis is a vital new capability for Torx.” said Dr. Martin Harrison, CTO, Torx Software. “It enables medicinal chemists to quickly identify bottlenecks in their DMTA cycle times which are lost in traditional Excel or PowerPoint based CRO communication and management systems.”
